Use aerodactyl as your lead with stealth rock, EQ, spikes and whirlwind. Perfect lead.

Neither Gyarados nor Aerodactyl are dragon types.
The only non-legend, non-uber (standard for this site) dragons are:
Dragonite, Salamence, Altaria, Flygon, and Kingdra.

You could use all dragon types, or pokemon who have all dragon type characteristics to throw people off guard.
Like you could use all the pokemon who are in the Dragon Type Egg Group.
Its interesting to see that Sceptile, Miltoic, Seviper, and Arbok are included into that.
Also Gyarados and Charizard are there, so that could open up your options a lot more.

Making a dragon team is hard since they are all majorly weak to ice. I would make sure you get a dragonite with extremespeed. Also I would give Flygon a choice band. For altaria, I would either ev it in defenses or ev it in sp atk and give it a choice specs. Kingdra is nice if you can set up rain dance. As a lead, i would chose either a Salamence with focus sash to use dragon dance or a dragonite so it won't be affected by flinching.

Kingdra is great on dragon teams asits the only one not weak to ice, and shaymin dont double post.

Well could u define what u mean by a dragon team because if u mean only pokes that have the type dragon then u pretty much just have the 5 non ubers + dragonair virbrava or shelgon if u are limited to species clause. If not then u have aero and charizard and some others
