Oh one thing, a magnezone resist all of the moves Jolteon has.

Yeah Magnezone is quite good in defenses and a great special attack, and has great type coverage, but lacks the speed to sweep. It's definitely worth having one on a team though.

Every time i had one it got OHKOed before it got to do anything.

Against what kind of pokemon? It's typing makes it resist/neutral 13/17 types (if I read it correctly) and it has decent defense and great special defense.

the common pokemon such as Scizor, Mismagius, basically anything that has a super effective move

substitute, aqua jet, focus punch, ice punch
always take out at least a pokemon before it does, usally takes out 3

Hasty is +spd -def cause timid weakens explosion. rain dance for the team of course, and raises thunder accuracy. taunt for other leads (duh) and explosion to explode
