The perfect team
Basically I'm looking for the perfect pokemon team, I have collected one of every non-NFE pokemon EVd, and I want to make a team that is all around good. These are some that I know over the years of battling and experience I know would be good contenders:
Blissey (with seismic toss, it has KOd my opponents and miraculously saved me games before)
Gengar (great switch in on fighting type moves like focus punch breloom, and an all-around sweeper)
Jolteon (HP Ice, Thunderbolt, Wish, and Shadow Ball keeps it all around strong against many pokemon. No pokemon resists all the moves.)
Salamence (Good physical sweeper but lacks speed, good typing resists many things but ice is a definite killer on it)
Scizor (Technician + STAB Bullet Punch + 394 Base Power = 90 Base power priority move, but steel isn't super-effective against many things and fire is a killer to scizor)
Gliscor (good defensive baton passer, ninjask dies too fast due to stealth rock)
Skarmory (sets up stealth rock effectively and can survive a good number of physical blows)
Azelf (Great type coverage with the moveset Psychic, Flamethrower, Grass Knot and Nasty Plot, great speed coupled with sp atk, and can take 1 or 2 strong attacks in the rare-ish case it is hit)
Ambipom (not really that great, a little to predictable with a Fake-out start and then u-turn or otherwise, can easily be countered by Focus Blast Gengar)
Heatran (good type coverage with flame body ability, great sp atk and hard to kill but quite slow)
Dragonite (extremespeed is its main advantage over the common dragons Salamence and Flygon, and its bulk accounts for the low speed as well)
Infernape (good set is probably mix-ape, even though I'm quite against mix pokemon, but it has tremendous speed and great attack/sp attack but bad typing and takes good damage from stealth rock)
This list will be updated.

Well the best Defensive combo in the game is the Celebi (Tinkerbell), Swampert (Bulky), Heatran (Scarfed), but it's not to popular amoug trainers. The best Offensive combo is the Scizor (Swords), and any offensive dragon if you want bulky go for D-Knight (Offensive), if you want speed go far Flygon (Scarfed).

Re: The perfect team
Yeah, I'll add D-Night, also because it has the extremespeed advantage.

Re: The perfect team
Floatzel does work with your team Pierre, but with a team like this I recommend using someone like Infernape (Scouter), Arcanine (Physical), or maybe even Sharpedo (Life Orb)

Re: The perfect team
Yeah the way the pokemon interact with one another really makes a difference, for example, Floatzel is set well as a rain dancer, but if I had something like Kingdra that would double up on swift swim it would be more effective.

Re: The perfect team
Yeah that'd be a very powerful set if executed correctly, however the only thing I can obviously see it lacks is a strong fire type move for those many pokemon whose only big weakness is fire moves (forretress, skarmory, scizor, bronzong, and many more), all of them being OU of course.

That's wat Leadape is for he's not just a lead but also an end gamer as wellkash wrote:Yeah that'd be a very powerful set if executed correctly, however the only thing I can obviously see it lacks is a strong fire type move for those many pokemon whose only big weakness is fire moves (forretress, skarmory, scizor, bronzong, and many more), all of them being OU of course.

Leadape would be what kind of moveset?
Stealth Rock is a given I'm assuming.

Re: The perfect team
it has the potential to OHKO most leads while setting up stealth rocks after it kills them. Oh and BTW i'm using my secondary signal cuz my house signal got F ed up for some reason so it's not to strong

Yeah, okay, but it is still very vulnerable to something like an azelf with high speed and psychic, but I guess its goodness beats its badness by a long shot haha.

Re: The perfect team
Yeah D-Knight is always bulky, doing Fake Out would have no effect and it would be pointless because nobody would carry Focus Sash on Bulk like D-Knight (They'd reallyyyy have to be scared of ice beam of some ice move for that to happen).

Re: The perfect team
yea and even i don't fear ice beam, ice punch, or ice shards cuz my D-Knight has only been OHKOed 4 times out of like 50 times that ppl have used it against mekash wrote:Yeah D-Knight is always bulky, doing Fake Out would have no effect and it would be pointless because nobody would carry Focus Sash on Bulk like D-Knight (They'd reallyyyy have to be scared of ice beam of some ice move for that to happen).
