The B/W english starter names are:
Snivy, the grass type starter
Tepig, the fire type starter
Oshawott, the water type starter
Me... I sort of like them. What about you guys/girls?

When you make threads like this, you should put the information in the first post. I had no idea what you were talking about!

I like them. Snivy, and Oshawott. Now these are cool names. Tepig I'm kinda disappointed in, but I like Snivy the best.

I hate them, except for Oshawott. Rather....funny, in my opinion. Make me giggle.

No because people phail to realize that there's a reason a nickname rater was made. Seriously though, the otter wins this once again: in looks and name imo.

Re: Do you like the english names for the B/W starter pokemon?
To be honest, I think that Pokemon's totally run out of names as now the names don't seem to make any sense with the pokemon. For example, torchic is obvious - a torch and a chick. But these names have like no correlation.

Snivy (snake + ivy) and Oshawott (ocean + water + otter) are obvious, but I'm not totally clear where the te in Tepig comes from. Temperature is the best I can come up with.
Tepig is a terrible name.

your guess is right in my book
bulbapedia.bulbagarden wrote:Tepig may be a combination of "tepid", meaning lukewarm, '"temperature" and "pig".
heres another reason why tepig sucks

Snivy is a good name. Oshsawott is kinda stupid, but it and snivy's last evos are pretty cool looking. I liked Pokabu better than Tepig, but its last evo is stupid and there are too many monkeys now.
