CRMT Rules - READ OR YOUR TEAM MAY BE LOCKED Empty CRMT Rules - READ OR YOUR TEAM MAY BE LOCKED

I thought I saw this somewhere but I can't find it. So here:

This place is for COMPETITIVE POKEMON. Do not post your in-game teams here. An in-game section will be made soon.

In summary:
Before posting make sure your team is finished.
Do not post gimmick teams.
Do not post threads for single Pokemon post in single rates instead.
Explain why you have chosen a certain Pokemon.
Use pictures if possible.
All RMTs must be formatted properly.
State the generation and tier the RMT is of.

1. Before posting make sure your team is finished.

This means your team MUST consist of 6 Pokemon with Items, Natures, EV Spreads, and 4 Moves. It is also a very good idea to play test your team before you post your RMT.

2. Do not post gimmick teams.

This section is for competitive Pokemon teams so teams that are not competitively viable in the metagame they are designed for are not allowed.

3. Do not post threads for single Pokemon, questions, or discussion.

This section is for the rating of teams only. For a single Pokemon rate use the Competitive Singles Rate thread. For help with competitive Pokemon in general use the Ask a Question Thread. For discussion of the metagame and competitive Pokemon in general use the Competitive Discussion Section.

4. Explain why you have chosen a certain Pokemon.

Before you post RMT thread, have some actual words to say instead of one line descriptions that give raters no information. Raters are not mind readers, in order for them to give you a proper rate they need to understand your thinking. For each Pokemon on your team, you need to explain why you selected it, its role, and what it helps you achieve. This should be a few sentences, single words are not allowed. See Rule 7, Formatting, for examples.

5. Use pictures if possible.

While not required, posting a nice picture of the Pokemon on your team makes it much easier to read, which also makes it easier to rate.

6. All RMTs must be formatted properly.

The better your post looks, the more likely you are to get a good rate. Here is what a your post should look like:

7. In your title, state the generation and tier.

This makes it easier for the rater to know what they are rating.

Introduction:
Tell us what metagame/tier your team is designed for and some about why you decided to make this team. It is also a good idea to list, possibly with pictures, the 6 Pokemon on your team to make it easier for raters to see any glaring weaknesses.

Pokemon 1 @ Item
Ability:
EVs:
Nature:
- move
- move
- move
- move

*Detailed description of the Pokemon's purpose to the team*
Posting a picture of each Pokemon as you move through the team will help separate them, making it easier to read. This is optional.
When doing the descriptions for your Pokemon, make sure to follow rule 5 of this post. One liners are not allowed.

When rating a team, make sure that you know what you are talking about. Do not rate if you have no experience. When rating, check for weaknesses, bad moveset and EV spreads. Then, state the problem AND give a way to fix it AND tell the person why it makes the team better.

This means, do not just say gyarados shouldn't have Aqua tail. Also do not say Gyarados shouldn't have Aqua tail and it should have waterfall instead. Say that gyarados shouldn't have aqua tail and should have waterfall instead BECAUSE the extra 10 power isn't worth 10 accuracy.

CRMT Rules - READ OR YOUR TEAM MAY BE LOCKED Empty Making RMTs Quicker To Write

If you aren't aware, to export a team out of Shoddy or Pokemon Online, you only need to click on "File", then "Export to Text" and then Ctrl + C and then paste. No need to type it up!

New rule. If your team is of insufficient quality, lacking descriptions, or is obviously not a good team, it may be closed.

Do not rate a team if you know little about competitive battling. Do not rate a team by saying "good team". Do not build a team out of six random pokemon and call it a team especially if no EVs, moves and natures are given. Say something to improve the team or don't help at all. Note weaknesses and how to fix them. Note changes in moveset.

Some optional things to include in an RMT are pictures, team building process and threat list. This can make it easier to rate a team.

Competitive RMTs are not only online, but must also attempt to be as perfect as possible and must comply with standard rules unless a specific rule is mentioned.
