Why did they make eggs hatch at lv 1? I liked them at lv 1 becasue then tehy could accually battle some on thier own at the beggining(not a big thing but I still thought ti was weird)

I don't know either, it's probably some kind of thing they do on the 4th generation games.

I think it`s because they`re just born.

Theywere"just born" in3rd and 2nd gym l just thought it was weird

Hm your original post doesn't make too much sense, but I think I understand what your saying. Pokemon from eggs are born at level one simply because they are "born", you never see any babies coming out of wombs that are 5 years old do you?

I guess a new generation caused for a new change in eggs.

I think they changed it because in the wild in previous generation, there were pokemon as low as lvl 2, so they changed the eggs to hatch at lvl 1 so it makes more sense.

It's great because they are just born and level one. You think they would learn by just following you... But of course that would be stupid. Just saying you can have a level 1 baby forever really.. It's remarkable if you think about it in some kind of sense like I am..

I don't think level has to do with age... I mean, there's no way my Jolteon is so elderly and yet so fast and strong...

It's just the way it says in the game. It's an "experience level." So naturally, babies are born with one experience: hatching. Level 1. Then, when they first experience things, they learn a lot very quickly, because there's so much to take in. As they get more and more knowledgeable, it becomes harder for them to gain new experiences since they already have so much.

I'm just saying. Have a Togepi follow you around for a very long time. Since it's level one, you think it would gain some experince. It has to climb over rocks, run and other things.. Haha.

I'm just thinking a bit to much OUT of the box.

Maybe there are other measures of experience than EXP.

Yeahhh. I'm just trying to think somewhere out of the box. Get some kind of logic to why hey don't gain levels after age. Ya know?

I prefer level 5 because its easier to ev train.

im glad they come at level 1 more time to ev train them and stuff

I never reall thought too much of it there isnt too much of a differnce between level 1 and 5 . just a bit of experience so i never really cared lol.

I don't think their level makes them easier to EV train o.O When I train anything too young, I just switch out to a stronger Pokemon each time. That isn't too difficult.

I'd have to side with Jolteon on the issue of level. Thinking of levels as experience makes way more sense than age, especially considering you fight for experience to get levels. Plus some pokemon, like ninetails and wartortle for instance are supposed to live for centuries, age wouldn't make sense stopping at 100, and then they'd be aging really really fast at that

Yeah, in the past games, it didn't really make any sense because the egg hatched a lv 5, yet you see lv 2 wild pokemon...
So does that mean that pokemon can lose levels after they are born?lol

They just came out of their eggs. They shouldn't be able to battle yet. They should be using things like EXP Share or the Daycare.
