Actually, Meganium isn't so bad. Good HP. Definitely better than Venusaur, who completely fails due to his poison type.

Cyndaquil. I pick him in silver and now in soul silver.

Blue/Red/Green/Yellow - charmander and squirtle
original gold/silver/crystal - cyndaquil and tododile
ruby/saphire/ermerald - mudkip and torchic
leaf green fire red - charmander
diamond/pearl/platinum- chimchar and turtwig
heart gold/ soul silver - cyndaquil ftw.

I always choose Cyndaquil it IS my fav pokemon afterall

I always pick the grass Pokemon just for the sole reason of them being green
and green being my favorite color but of all the grass starter pokemon
"Chikorita" is my least favorite, probably because of the last evolution form in
contrast to the other starters.

I picked Cyndaquil because Puppet went totodile and i figured we could just breed but that never happened because I forgot. I regret choosing Cyndaquil, even though Typhlosion is cool

I picked Totodile because I think he's the best. His movepool is fantastic. Typhlosion is the worst choice you can make because of his sad movepool D:

I also choose the fire starters for my games

I love the challenge the game gives u when u pick Chickorita. the type disadvantages in the gyms really makes u want to train hard. thats makes it enjoyable for me. the epic struggle against the Flying, Bug and Ice gyms in Johto and the Fire gym in Kanto.
all the rest of gyms get pwnd before the might of Meganium.
