In options i set it so it would not send me emails when people commented on my posts, but sometimes it still does. Not as much as before though now just one or two of the posts. before it was sending an email for every single post

It's because that's a post-by-post setting, turning the option off just disables flagging posts you make/reply to as "Watched." Now that you've disabled it, if you still get e-mails go to the thread in question and turn off "Watch this post." The e-mails will stop when you've unflagged each thread or when said threads stop getting replied to.

When I went to edit a post, the flood control announcement came up.
is that supposed to apply to both edited and new posts?
Because it only happened once. I just went to edit a post less than a minute for posting the original post, and the flood control didn't come up.
I'm just curious to know if that's supposed to happen or not.

I changed the setting, so get registered now because chances are I may change it again for classified reasons.

So I accidentally double posted on my trade thread, and I went back to delete my latest post. Only, I couldn't find that option to delete it. Neither of the posts had the little "x" button to delete it. The edit button, when I hovered over it, said "Edit / Delete this post", but when I clicked it, I didn't see an option to delete. Any help here?

You can only delete the post if you were the last person to post in the thread.
I'll remove it for you. I just wanted you to see what you had done before I did so.

Thanks Adoxography, my apologies. I'm glad someone could clarify that for me, though, because it has baffled me ever since the layout had changed.

It's okay. It confused me when I first joined too because I was able to delete one post (if I had been the last person to post on the topic) yet not all of the others.

Just try to be more careful next time.

I saw a post that I thought needed to be reported, so I did. Then I looked at that "lock post for new reports, so I clicked it thinking it meant no one else would be able to post.
Then I got this message
"You are not allowed to use this part of the Report Post Hack!"

I'm not sure what that means, but I can guess it means I apparently hacked the site without any knowlege of how to hack or the desire to do so.
I never hacked this site, yet for some odd reason I got that message.

I don't know why it said that, but the Lock Post for New Reports is a mod management tool to keep other members from reporting a post. It probably shouldn't have showed up in the first place, and that's why the poorly-written message came up. Don't worry about it, though, we know you didn't hack the site
