I know that most of you are into Competitive Teams, decked out with EVs and everything, but I just wanted to get a little bit of feedback.
I've not really been into the whole EVing thing, and I'm not into competitive battling with other players, so try not to laugh me out of this thread. I may learn in time, but EVing seems pretty complicated and like it will take a lot of time.

I do have a question though: is it ever too late to begin EVing? I know that there are berries which can get rid of all EVs. If I used those and then began battling specific Pokemon which gave out certain EVs, would my Pokemon greatly benefit from that?

I've beaten the Elite Four once and gotten all 16 badges. Now I just have to beat them again and then beat Red.

I'm not really sure which items to obtain / use for a lot of them.

I'm not looking for feedback on how to beat the Elite Four or Red. I can do that on my own, thanks.
And if you hadn't noticed, my Typhlosion already has Earthquake.

I'm looking for feedback on my team in general... and advice on items, move sets, IVs, etc.

Since it's an in-game team, EVs and IVs aren't all that important (except at the Battle Tower/Frontier). What my main suggestion would be is that you look at which Pokemon have higher Attack than Special Attack and adjust their movesets accordingly. For example, your Feraligatr has a lowly 117 S.Atk., while his Atk is 174. Surf is a Special move, maybe you could swap that for Waterfall. I'm not sure what other pokemon on your team could use Surf effectively, though, so maybe that has to stay put for travel reasons. I'll evolve your Kadabra & Haunter tomorrow for you (or someone else could today if they want) and that will give them a solid boost in stats.
Also, level 95+ is basically too late to EV train, any time before then you can reset with EV berries, but it takes 11 to fully undo all EVs in a stat, so it can be quite time-consuming to un-EV.

Ichimarunico is right though, ev's dont really matter ingame except battle frontier. for that i think your fine. of course you might want differnt teams or alter your team abit depending on the event.

I may want to become competitive eventually. Right now, I'm just focusing on beating the game, though.
And I may also need to EV train to go to the Battle Frontier because I may want certain items that are obtained with BF points.

All right. Tomorrow, we can trade to evolve Pokemon / dex-trade like we planned.

I guess I need to figure out where to obtain these berries in-game or trade for them.

Well if you're going to use this team to beat red, try to find something that is super effective against snorlax.

I'm aware of this.
I didn't really know anything about natures at all when I first got these Pokemon. I never paid attention to that stuff before because I couldn't wifi battle before I got my DS which was recently, and I just played the games without reading up on them until I bought Soul Silver.
Breeding and re-training would take ages, but I might invest the time to do it if I ever decide to go competitive after I get the hang of EV training.

Locking and archiving this because I'm obviously not going to get the results I want until I start EV-training and the such.
