Hated the ghost type, he was hard for me!
But i would say falkner, they gave him no strategy so people wouldnt get discouraged early on.

Any trainer that has all bug / poison/ grass type Pokemon + Falkner are the easiest. And always Brock.

Also - I was all worried about battling Clair the first time; same with Blue. I OHKO'd most of their Pokemon. Sigh.

I know how that feels man, u save, get psyched for an epic battle, hear the cool music and then...destroy his guys one by one with one move. wish it was more of a challenge but i feel like the gym leaders are more of just checkpoints to keep you at the right level.

It used self-destruct I believe. It fainted my pokemon but so did clefairy o_o.
