Poisoned Sand Stall!!
I miss OU. So, I'm working on an OU team for Wi-Fi battles. I call it the Poisoned Sand Stall (aka PSS).^^
T-Rex the Tyranitar @ Lum Berry
Ability:Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 32 Atk / 224 SpD
Nature:Adament
- Stealth rock
- Stone Edge
- Rest
- Putsuit
Tyranitar is a sweet lead and Sand Storm is win. Tyranitar starts things off nicely taking out common leads. Stealth rock is there for additional damage. I prefer Pursuit over crunch or payback for getting rid of Azelf and later on the rotom forms, latias or any other Pokemon. Takes care of azelf lead pretty nicely. Sand Storm Breaking Focus Sash and STAB Pursuit turns Azelf into a Shedinja with no way out. Stone Edge will cover most of the dragons such as Salamence and Dragonite. Overall this set has major difficulties against leads such as Metagross, Infernape, and Gallade. Lum Berry will allow me to wake up from Sleep Powder/Spore from leads such as Roserade and Smeargle. Stone Edge will do about 96.6% - 113.7% damage to Roserade, Smeargle doesn't even have a chance. With the help of sand Strom Focus Sash is wasted.
Red Love the Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 180 HP/60 Def/252 Spd/16 SDef
Nature:Timid
- Roar
- Dragon Pulse
- Recover
- Calm Mind
This latias is an amazing partner for my Tyranitar scaring off ground types. Once my opponent know my Tyranitar is lacking Earthquake, ground types will most likely switch into Tyranitar. One example would be Hippowdon, which takes nothing from Stone Edge or Pursuit. Latias would switch into ground type moves and scare them with Grass Knot or Surf (which I don't have on Latias). Recover guarantees increase in Latias's survival time. Calm Mind really helps latias out since I'm only using one move. Most likely other CM Pokémon will switch in to set up with me. Roar is for getting rid of those annoying CM Pokemon. With that EV spread Latias will take a Pursuit from Scizor and roar it away. Max speed will allow me to revenge kill threats like Gengar.
Flame the Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability:Flash Fire
EVs: 244 HP / 32 SpA / 12 SpD / 220 Spe
Nature:Calm
- Substitute
- Torment
- Protect
- Lava Plume
This set is right off Smogon because they're is no way to improve this set, it's 100% perfect. Switch into something that is Banned/Scarfed/Specsed and is stuck on a move that Heatran resists. Heatran has major resistance and it will force many switch outs. Take this opportunity to Substitute and make a wall. When the opponent hits Heatran with a super effective move to break the Substitute, I'll use Torment, preventing the opposing Pokemon from using the same move twice. Next Turn as Heatran uses Substitute the opposing Pokémon will either switch out or hit me with a not very effective move, which will not break the Substitute if the opponent is slower. Protecting the next turn will allow me to keep my substitute as my opponent uses the SE move. This set can be really annoying and deadly. Lava Plume has 30% chance to burn the opponent and a high PP.
Meteor the Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Nature:Jolly
- Iron Head
- Ice Punch
- ThunderPunch
- Trick
Looks like a normal Scarfed Jirachi you see everyday in Wi-Fi battles. Well this Jirachi may be the same but it's more Support based than Offence. If you take a look at Heatran's set, it's very difficult to pull off. An example would be a Swampert which can rune Heatran with Waterfall and Earthquake. That's where Jirachi come's in Tricking the Choice Scarf onto Swampert or any other Pokémon that scare Heatran. Even if this strategy gets screwed up Scarfed Jirachi can hax and rune the opponent with Iron Head. Ice Punch is there to cover dragon Types such as Flygon or Dragonite. Thunder Punch is for water types and especially Gyarados. Ice Punch can be replaced with one of the move to counter dragon types but Latias can handle them. Rotom would've done a better Job here but I prefer Jirachi in a Sand Storm.
Serpent the Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 248 Def / 12 Spe
Nature:Impish
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Waterfall
- Roar
This thing is unbelievable. All that bulkiness will allow Gyarados to take anything the opponent throws at it. Shuffling between 2>1 allows Gyarados to roar or waterfall the opponent.
66.6 chance of Sleep Talk choosing Roar/Waterfall and 33.3 chance of choosing Rest. With all that HP and defence/special defence Gyarados and take hits and rest it off. This set can be really annoying and relies on luck with 66.6% chance on your side! Waterfall is an excellent move with 30% a chance to flinch the opponent! Most counters will be electric type or a Pokemon that is carrying an electric move. Rock type moves also prevent Gyarados from causing chaos. After the electric and rock types are gone it will be the most useful and awesome set. Pokemon with Water Absorb and Hidden Power Electric will laugh at Gyarados ,an example would be a Vaporeon. Just like for Heatran Jirachi is there to stop these thing that rune the fun.
Spinner the Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SDef
Nature:Careful
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Payback
- Spikes
Without Forretress my team would be nothing. Forretress sets up everything its partner Pokemon need to use their moveset effectively. Heatran and Gyarados definitely need Forretress to set up toxic spikes. Toxic Spikes allow Gyarados to use it's moveset effectively. Also help's Heatran stall water and other types that resist Lava Plume. Heatran only has one move which is a fire type move. This allows to Heatran to stall the Pokemon that can be poisoned and defeat anything else that resists poison.
Over all it's a decent team. I did a lot research to perfect this and I still think it needs more improvement. If you have any comment on this team feel free to yell it out and tell me why it's good/not good.

Counters
Aerodactyl
Jirachi will send it to hell.
Azelf
In front of Tyranitar's Pursuit this thing has no way out.
Blissey
Tyranitar can handle this as well.
Breloom
Gyarados loves to sleep. Latias can take anything from Breloom.
Bronzong
Forretress will use Bronzong to set up. It's not that hard to take down, also Latias can CM in it's face unless it decided to explode. Still it's going to die.
Celebi
Most of my Pokemon can handle this.
Dragonite
Tyranitar can take anything from Dragonite and dent it with stone edge, latias can also revenge kill it using dragon pulse. Jirachi can ice punch it to hell.
Empoleon
I'll have some difficulties with Empoleon the best way is it trick it Scarf or Thunder Punch it.
Flygon
Latias can out speed it and kill it with Dragon Pulse if it's not scarfed. Jirachi can also do the something using ice punch. If it's scarfed it would be max speed, it'll end up in a speed tie but the only way Flygon can defeat Jirachi is by using Earthquake which Latias can take care of using its special ability.
Forretress
Heatran can take care of it even if it has Earthquake.
Gengar
One Dragon Pulse from Latias and it's gone.
Gliscor
Jirachi and Gyarados can take care of this.
Gyarados
My bulky Gyarados can stall it out with roar.
Latias can also do the same thing, roar it out or dent using Dragon Pulse.
Heatran
Gyarados can play around with Heatran.
Hippowdon
Toxic Spikes and Gyarados can rune Hippowdon.
Infernape
Gyarados can handle this unless it's carrying Thunder Punch. In that care Latias can CM in it's face.
Jirachi
Heatran can Scare it away with Lava Plume.
Jolteon
Most of my Pokemon can dent this.
Kingdra
Latias can handle this. So can Gyarados.
Latias
Trick can rune these life orbed ones.
My latias can out speed it and kill it, also Jirachi can ice punch Latias.
Lucario
Gyarados can handle this, if it's carrying thunder punch the Latias can handle it.
Machamp
These things are annoying. Heatran can take care of the substitute version.
Latias can win one on one.
If lucky Jirachi can hax it to hell.
Magnezone
The reason I gave Shed Shell to Forretress.
Heatran can set up on Magnezone.
Metagross
Agility ones are annoying. Jirachi can trick it and make it useless.
Heatran can set up on it.
Roserade
Tyranitar will show this what a Lum Berry can do.
Jirachi can ice punch it to hell.
Rotom
Tyranitar will turn these into Shedinja.
Salamence
Tyranitar,Latias, and Jirachi can handle this beast.
Scizor
Gyarados, Heatran can set up on the switch.
Skarmory
Forretress can set up on it and Heatran can defeat it.
Smeargle
Tyranitar can take this on Smeargle if it has Lum Berry.
Sleep Talk Gyarados can handle this.
Snorlax
Most of my Pokemon can set up on it.
Toxic will rune Snorlax.
Starmie
Tyranitar, Jirachi and Latias can beat it.
Swampert
Annoying as hell, trick can work here.
Toxic Spikes will also rune Swampert.
Tentacruel
Latias can set up in it's face and Jirachi can Thunder Punch it to hell.
Togekiss
Jirachi can out speed it and play the flinch game or the ice punch game.
Tyranitar also counters Togekiss well.
Tyranitar
Toxic Spikes will rune Tyranitar.
Gyarados will play with it.
Trick also runes Tyranitar if it doesn't have the right moves.
Vaporeon
Toxic Spikes and Latias can wall this like it's nothing.
Zapdos.
Latias and Tyranitar will enjoy playing with Zapdos.
