Gym Leader Blue?

Anybody else see the resemblance between him and Gary? They look exactly the same, so is it supposed to be the same person?

What was the point of changing their names?

That is what they are truely they changed their names to match teh games in the origonal RBY

Not really but it went with the games

The games Red and Blue came first, along with Green in Japan, the anime with Ash and Gary was supposed to follow along the lines of the Games, then they made yellow to follow what the anime had done with pikachu starting and always being out, also battling jessie and james was in Yellow.

the games are more kinda based on the manga... (or is it the other way around...?) so they use the names of the characters there~

Blue and Gary aren't the exact same person, but Blue is based off of Gary. They are anime/game counterparts of each other, just like Red and Ash

show came after, i think, so gary is based of blue...

Thats because blue is gary they just named him blue

yeah red is ash blue is gary they based the names from the manga and the original blue and red games

Well in the anime how well do u think the names red and blue would go over American audiences
