Pokemon following the trainer Empty Pokemon following the trainer

Does this have any impact on anyone? There really isn't any reason why there should be the pokemon walking behind a trainer throughout the entire game. In a way, it took away the originality from pokemon yellow. It was more special when there was only one pokemon in the whole game that you could interact with. Any opinions on the matter?

it's very nostalgic... makes me really want to borrow my friend's GBA and play yellow... i think that having your pokes following makes the game a lot more heart warming and memorable :3

I don't mind either. It's actually good to raise friendship when out of the pokeball.

I like the idea with cute pokemon like Pikachu, but I'm not so fond of having a giant Groudon or fat Snorlax running around chasing you. I like the idea, but I wish there were an option to put the pokemon in it's ball instead.

Yeah, that would be a good option. With some pokemon it just doesn't work.

I actually enjoy the stalkers.
It starts a bond with my pokemon everytime I 'talk' to it.
It looks cool to have a pokemon following you.
Its the first game i played that allowed you to walk with it

I've always enjoyed it, how lonely it must get to walk the grounds of Kanto all by yourself!

I personally like that they added this. In the old pokemon yellow I liked pilachu doing this and now it's even cooler with any pokemon able to follow you.

I like the fact that pokemon can follow you. It's like having your own personal bodyguard. Lol.

I think it'd be pretty awesome if you had to develop a friendship level with a pokemon before it could follow you, or atleast have the option to hide the pokemon.

As I got farther into the game I used the bike to get around most of the time, so my pokemon was put away for the most part.

I like it that your Pokemon follow you around. It might have been better if you could choose to put them in their pokeball if you don't want something like a Snorlax running around following you (although I would just find that funny), but I think it's fine how it is. It helps you make more of a connection with your Pokemon, and I just like seeing them follow you around.
