Pokemon Natures Empty Pokemon Natures

I've been playing pokemon for almost my whole life but I never understood natures. People seem to make a big deal for them but what do they do and how do they differ?

Depending on the nature, they give a +10% stat boost to one stat and a -10% to another. Just Google "Pokemon Nature Guide" for info on which nature does what.
