can you catch celebi on HG/SS

on pokemon gold you can catch it with an event item adn on HG/SS

I don't think so I believe that you can import it and when you take it to the shrine in veridian forest it will start an event.

you get an item and when you go to the shrine it will appear
is there something for HG/SS too

If there is another event, I guess you can always get it that way

no there isnt you have to wait till the event celebi comes out for U.S.

I think the event is just a celebi giveaway.
and that would be the only legit way to get one without trading.

how you would get it is a gs ball in pokemon cystral but there is no gs ball in hg and ss so you can not catch it. Hope that answers your question.

The Gs ball would of been in the games code if nintendo planned to give it away at all,
and it's not (Correct me if I'm wrong) so the only way to get a Legit Celebii would be from some events such as

10 Anniversary and the Japanese one for Movie 13
