im not sure if it works but i've been told that if you use a repel wild pokemon wont attack you but in the places were the grass shakes were they still will that way you wont break the chain

That's a very solid, in-depth guide to chaining.
Edit: Oh! I suggest muting sound. Lame music and no information via audio.

Not without spending 4 hours of my time xD There are LOTS of guides out there, guys. Try Psylab or Serebii for written ones.

Chainging is using the pokeradar over and over again. It allows for easier shinies. GUIDE: Use max repelss, as if your chain is broke, it will be lowere leveled. Get a rythem going. If you go at the same intervuls, it is easier to chain also

Repels are always good for chaining, but one time I was trying to chain Togepi in Diamond, and Floatzels and Golducks kept attacking me even with my repels Crying or Very sad So be careful.

You have to have a lead pokemon that's much higher level than what's in the area around you for repels to work. I believe it's +7 levels. Also, use SUPER repels! It's 50 less steps for like half the price of Max Repel. You'll save yourself a lot of money by using Super rather than Max ^_^
